The Four Freedoms Park was founded on the freedoms stated in President FDR’s 1941 State of the Union address: Freedom of Speech and Expression, Freedom from Want, Freedom from Fear, and Freedom of Worship. Each year, the park hosts a benefit for all of its donors and partners.

Project Concept

Create an event that highlights the first of the Four Freedoms: Freedom of Speech and Expression. All event speakers, hosts, décor, and installations to support and celebrate this freedom.

Create custom centerpieces, interactive installations, and takeaways. Celebrate the current wave of activism and protest as a form of expression.

I was hired the following year to create an event honoring the park’s founder and his life’s work.

Honor William Vanden Heuvel for his life’s work in activism and support of each of the Four Freedoms upon which the park was founded.
