Project Concept
Combine the worlds of musical group Fear & Fancy, fashion designer Lindsay Degen, and photographer Esteban Pedraza by creating an interactive environment that encourages each viewer’s participation. All artists joined in the collaboration of creating theme, environment and displays.
The first featured was a group of musicians, producers, educators and leaders who created the world of Fear & Fancy.
Fear & Fancy is a tribe of chiefs and madames who use their talents to elevate their work, surroundings, and most importantly, one another. A major focus of their work is ritual through performance, music, spirituality, food and drink.

The DEGEN Rainbow was the central scenic element of fashion designer Lindsay Degen’s FW14 Collection.
The LED installation was synced to a midi track by Ary Warnaar. In front of the rainbow, Lindsay and her team performed on knitting machines used to create the fall/winter line.
Models stood like mannequins while attendees were encouraged to explore the set: The performance became inclusive, and was complete after the audience interacted with all elements.

Filmmaker, photographer, and artist Esteban Pedraza traveled to Colombia to visit family. During this annual ritual, he photographed familiar scenes with a fresh eye. Pedraza sized and arranged this series to communicate an Old World: New World theme.
He drew attendees into the exhibition with bright, contrasty edits, and encouraged them to enter into bold and new surroundings.
