︎︎︎ Here
I created and produced this interactive public art installation collecting 10,000 dreams for a better future. The project asks: What is your dream? Write it in the stars. Each dream builds a future with accepting and inclusive societies, empathetic and compassionate discourse and a more united human family.

Project Mission

The Dream Wall Project gives space for participants to communicate their truths, find refuge in the process of creating and connect to those around them.

Our experiences and perspectives define who we are and what we create in the world: Through physical art making, collaboration and personal expression, we can bear witness to one another.

Creating and Contributing

After completing their dream tile, participants choose a location on the wall and place it. Each constellation builds the wall, creating a large collective of dreams for a better future.

The Dream Wall  traveled to The Women’s Convention in Detroit, Michigan, Four Freedoms Park in New York City, and First Night Pittsburgh before participation became digital in 2020.

Project Portraits

Everyone has the option to have a photo taken with their tile. They can also include their @handle to see their work on The Dream Wall Project account.

The account shows where the project has been, who has contributed, and where it’s going next. It offers an ongoing opportunity to feel the collaboration, connectedness and unity across physical, geological and/or emotional borders.

Dream Wall Project Future

The wall is designed for easy transport: It’s modular, folds into one stack, and can expand to custom lengths.

The project will travel to diverse public locations in order to gain a more accurate, collective representation of our dreams for a better future.

New Worlds Event Series

Project Description

See the event page!
︎︎︎ Here
Highlight three upcoming artists with varying content by designing a one-time choreographed experience around a central, unifying theme.

Promote the special event through online video documentaries, written articles and photography.

Project Concept

Combine the worlds of musical group Fear & Fancy, fashion designer Lindsay Degen, and photographer Esteban Pedraza by creating an interactive environment that encourages each viewer’s participation. All artists joined in the collaboration of creating theme, environment and displays.

Artist I : Fear & Fancy feat. Jidenna

www.fearandfancy.com
The first featured was a group of musicians, producers, educators and leaders who created the world of Fear & Fancy.

Fear & Fancy is a tribe of chiefs and madames who use their talents to elevate their work, surroundings, and most importantly, one another. A major focus of their work is ritual through performance, music, spirituality, food and drink.

Artist II : Lindsay Degen

The DEGEN Rainbow was the central scenic element of fashion designer Lindsay Degen’s FW14 Collection.

The LED installation was synced to a midi track by Ary Warnaar. In front of the rainbow, Lindsay and her team performed on knitting machines used to create the fall/winter line.

Models stood like mannequins while attendees were encouraged to explore the set: The performance became inclusive, and was complete after the audience interacted with all elements.

Filmmaker, photographer, and artist Esteban Pedraza traveled to Colombia to visit family. During this annual ritual, he photographed familiar scenes with a fresh eye. Pedraza sized and arranged this series to communicate an Old World: New World theme.

He drew attendees into the exhibition with bright, contrasty edits, and encouraged them to enter into bold and new surroundings.

New Worlds Episodes

Video Documentaries
& Online Articles

These documentaries tell the stories behind artists and leaders of creative movements. We explore how they began, changed and managed each part of it.

When designing the live events, we collaborate with each artist, individual or group to bring their extraordinary work and environments to the public.

Episode 1 - The World of Fear & Fancy feat. Jidenna

Artist site: fearandfancy.com

"We live together; we eat together; we perform rituals together; we make music together. In the Harlem Renaissance, our ancestors uptown had Niggerati Manor. Here today, in Brooklyn, we have the Fear & Fancy Parlor" - Whippa Wiley

Epsiode 2 - The World of DEGEN

Artist site: degen.us

"DEGEN is my line of crazy knits, but it takes multiple forms. I hope to collaborate with as many people as possible exploring knits in as many ways as possible. It's not sexy in the obvious way, but I'm really happy with the sort of silly sexy I've created" - Lindsay Degen

Episode 3 - The World of Good Cop Great Cop

Artist site: goodcopgreatcop.com

" ... When you figure out a forum where you can just do something immediately - even if its not the perfect manifestation of the idea - it IS the idea. And it gets it out there in a way where you can feel like it's come to fruition, and other people can understand it and enjoy it. And so we were just like, ok... we can try to make a sketch a week" - Matt Porter

Virtual Festival - WFH Fest

Project Description

See summary of the festival on Going Places Careers
︎︎︎ Here
As work-from-home life continued into early 2021, we wanted to create a remote event that would provide free and accessible information for anyone seeking employment. We also wanted to reach people where they were the most during that time: Social media. We created WFH Fest, an online festival featuring career content across all of our social media platforms.

We interviewed over 60+ top tech, marketing, digital media and other industry professionals about their career stories and advice for young and recent gradutes pursuing their dream jobs. I created and designed a logo & brand identity, traditional festival lineup poster and custom website pages. I compiled and edited social media videos, video thumbnails & covers, and provided scripted questions based on their unique backgrounds and journeys.

Festival Stages

Like a traditional festival, we still had multiple stages! Unlike a traditional festival or conference, each stage had the same content from each interviewee, but in the format of the social channel. This way, followers on any channel were able to access each career story, and could be pointed to another way to experience the content on another platform (stage).

Instagram Stage - The Main Stage was on Instagram. Followers could catch the full length version of personoal video from founders, entrepreneurs and creators who shared their career journeys.

LinkedIn Stage - You could read in-depth articles featuring the stories behind each speaker. They got inspiration from founders and entrepreneurs, and read advice from current managers at their favorite leading companies.

TikTok Stage
- Followers caught 60-sec highlights of each headliner and speaker, and were able to interact with professionals whose presence was heavier on this platform than the others.

Twitter Stage
- We live tweeted each interview as it was posted to the main stage throughout the week in order to point followers to our content on other channels.

Personal Interview Format

We interviewed professionals to fill two major categories: Career Stories from Founders, Entrepreneurs and Creators, and Career Advice from current Managers and Directors at popular companies. We also included personal stories about overcoming difficulty and persevering through challenges. Below are select examples of video interviews!

Actress Anna Maiche of Netflix’s Tiny Pretty Things

Activist Rachel Parent of Kid’s Right To Know

Content creator and English teacher Mr. Patrick

Asha Marie, a spoken word poet, wrote a custom opening poem to kick off festival week.
Welcome To Manny’s founder Manny Yekutiel gives a tour of his community activism space in San Francisco, CA.
Herbicide Free Campus founder Mackenzie Feldman shows us her WFH space.

A big reason we decided on this format was because of the work environment at the time: Everyone was used to talking to each other through the screen. Instead of a formal, sit-down interview, we opted to create videos that felt like you were on a personal call with each professional; something we encourage each client to do in our career programming as well.

 See ALL interviews here! ︎︎︎

Festival Lineup Poster

We interviewed professionals across industries and career paths to create a diverse lineup that covered each step of the career journey from beginner to expert. Our lineup debuted to a combined total of over 1.5M+ followers on the main stage alone.

On The Lawn

We created The Main Stage post at the top of  IG grid where followers could check back and see who was speaking next. Each time we tagged the next speaker, a notification encouraged them to engage with our content, and make sure they wouldn’t miss their interview when it was posted.
We hired an illustrator to create a custom festival graphic that represented a handful of our more popular speakers across industries. We branded tote bags, tees and stickers with her unique design. A portion of the proceeds went to a charity of the artist’s choice.
I created a “Wellness Tent” that showcased products and services for wellness of the mind, body and planet. Each product was tagged to the account where followers could shop and engage with the products and brands.

The Art Tent

It was important to me to show working, professional artists and their process on our career platform. During Festival Week, followers could scroll through our IG post as if they were inside tent at a festival, and view the work of active, professional artists. Each piece was tagged, so when you clicked to visit the artists’ IG page, you could watch their studio tour or artist talk!

Above is the panoramic mock-up I posted to our IG page in three separate posts to create a “tent” on our post grid. I took the painted characters from our illustrator and placed them outside as if they were relaxing on the festival lawn. This creative leap allowed us to show characters enjoying the digital festival grounds and encourage interaction with our posts.

WFH Fest: When followers clicked the middle image, they were able to scroll into the entrance to the tent and click the tagged art inside. Each artist had the purple WFH logo in their IG highlights that led to a personal studio tour and artist talk.

The Wellness Tent

WFH Fest: After followers visited the Wellness Tent post and clicked on a tagged product, they were brought to the product, brand or individual IG page where they could see the purple WFH Fest logo in a highlighted story. From there, they could watch what the brand had to say about their own career journey and the importance of personal wellness in your career search.

Festival Schedule

WFH Space Tours

At the end of their interview, each speaker gave a tour of their WFH space. This tied each interview with the theme of the festival while also providing helpful tips to job candidates as they interviewed and worked from home.
